After a week full of heart’s decorations, celebrations and Valentine’s dates…it’s time for the lavish party of them all: Yours. Even if it’s great to cherish and appreciate some “couple love” or girl’s night out, we often forget to pamper our loving selves. Because when you do, we’re sure you’ll have less time for BS and negativity. As Rupaul would say:

Self-love is not a “one day a year” celebration, it’s a journey that happens everyday and believe us, in the year of the unknown, we truly can see the physical and psychological benefits of it. Some experts have even said that during the pandemic, self-love is a great tool to create a feeling of safety, hope and a sense of control.
Reminder of the day: Relationships come and go, divorces are more common than ever but the most important relationship we have is the one with ourselves.
So, we got together, shared our self-love practices and came out with the best 4 ideas to either bring out your inner Queen B or just a quick reminder to keep slaying.
Write a love letter and send it to...YOURSELF
It sounds crazy at first thought but, hey, you write letters to the most important people in your life, you should be included, right? The idea is quite simple: write a letter with all the things you love about yourself. Don’t worry if it’s uncomfortable at first, because as soon as you leave the awkwardness behind, you’ll find this exercise truly refreshing. So, don’t be shy, be extra! You can talk about how incredibly strong you have been, how smart and witty you are, how your hair is shining like the sun or how those strong legs are taking you everywhere but still look great with your favorite dress. And when you’re done, email the letter to you as a personal reminder of your worth or hang it somewhere that you can see everyday like in the bathroom’s mirror, it would be a great way to start your days.
Self-Love Baths to open your heart
The weekend is here, there is no meeting coming up or waking early to work, so have some precious self-time. Listen to that song that relaxes you, our suggestion? Bruno’s Major “The most beautiful thing”; put some candles around, btw, do you know that there are studies that say that aromatherapy relieves anxiety and stress?; and finally, just take some “me, myself and I” time. We assure you that as soon as you’re done you will feel like at peace with yourself.

Connect with your body as much as WIFI
We know meditation is not for everybody and some of us truly have a hard time slowing down, but this practice can be as simple as taking 5 minutes during your day to just breathe, there is proof that by doing that you can reduce stress and regulate your blood pressure. If you’re curious but don’t really know how, download “Calm” or “The Breathing App”, they will help you find your way around meditation.
Vote for yourself and dream with vision
In 2021 you can’t ever underestimate your power. Self-love is also about remembering your dreams and working everyday for them. You know what they say: If you love your job, you’ll never have to work a day in your life. Take this weekend to create a vision board, because fighting for your personal goals is part of taking care of yourself and your future. Go on Pinterest, find quotes that represent you and pictures that show your passions and goals, paste them on a board or your wall and…you better work, bitch!
